Overview:

Demonstrates the ability to lead and report on multiple projects varying in size and complexity at both an operational and executive level. Provide direction and guidance to internal Netsmart project teams regarding deliverables and ensuring they are consistent with the project plan, and the budget and strategic goals of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall performance and delivery of technical cross-functional business operations and software development projects; including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and issues.
  • Lead discussions among project teams to resolve issues and roadblocks in delivery
  • Organize and direct preparation activities within various teams to support cross-departmental testing and validation of processes and project deliverables
  • Manage and orchestrate overall testing phase and issue resolution across teams.
  • Review test strategy and test plans to support overall project goals; Bring disparate test teams together to align test plans and test schedules
  • Manage post go-live stabilization efforts and establish operational procedures
  • Strategize and plan out cutover and rollback activities with technical teams; Document tasks in MS Project plan to determine and track schedule impacts.
  • Ensure that risks and issues are identified early, understood, and dealt with in a manner that mitigates risk to scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Develop and maintain standard project documentation - project plans, agendas, action items, responsibility assignment matrix, deliverables and ensure adherence to company Project Management Standards and Software Development Lifecycle best practices for Executive, Operational and Tactical Meetings.
  • Provide clear and consistent verbal and formal reporting communication of project status with stakeholders
  • Evaluate project strategies and decisions to ensure they are in the best interest of clients’ and company goals; escalate as needed
  • Provide input and lead executive level presentations for project stakeholders 
  • Act as the conduit between various lines of business such as; engineering, consulting, accounting, sales, and support regarding engagement activities
  • Provides weekly and monthly status reports for all active projects for engagement leadership.
  • Reporting:  Integrate data into corresponding reporting formats. Follow up with team members as needed
  • Project Planning: Plan projects, releases and sprints, upfront project labor, time and cost estimating, tracking and modification to ensure business requirements are completely satisfied, on time and within budget
  • Facilitation: Facilitate and participate in regular projects meetings with a focus on both tactical and strategic action items

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in business administration with an emphasis in information systems, or BS in information systems and minimum 7 years’ experience managing complex, enterprise projects/programs in IT Application Development, MBA is a plus
  • Required experience in Systems Integration, Systems Engineering, or Technical Implementations
  • Background in Enterprise Application integration, middleware technologies, data migrations and conversions, database technologies, and/or backend interfaces
    •  Lead and direct work with matrixed project teams
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills, including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results
  • Ability to accommodate a high level of change and adapt accordingly to get the project delivered on time and on budget.
  • Experience with working in an Enterprise Release based delivery structure with projects spanning multiple application areas.
  • Leadership qualities, including meeting facilitation, time management, organizational skills and ability to influence others
  • Experience with analyzing complex issues and delivering appropriate solutions 
  • A background in the HIT software industry with experience in high growth companies preferred
  • Advanced skills in the use of common business toolsets including MS Office and Salesforce.com
  • <25% travel is required 
  • Technical background. Strong Excel skills a plus
  • Healthcare IT software development a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to follow up on action items assigned to self and others in a timely manner
  • Jira Administration experience a plus
  • Experienced in data manipulation, data mining, extraction and reporting
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Access, PowerPoint, Visio a plus
