Social Media Specialist Position:

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for driving and executing the strategic direction of the Netsmart social media channels by growing, managing and evaluating the platforms to reflect the brand’s vision. This position will play a critical role in refining, managing and executing on a consistent strategy that offers substantive and engaging content across all social platforms and communities. In addition to social media, this position will also manage the CareThreads and NetsmartLife blogs, as well as provide consistent and regular analytics for social media engagement. This role requires a strong writing skillset in both social/digital writing and traditional public relations writing.

Responsibilities: 

  • Track, monitor and respond to social media conversations to enhance client experience and provide insights to marketing and corporate communications department, along with key organizational stakeholders.
  • Manage social media conversations (both proactive and reactive) in a timely manner to users’ needs and requests.
  • Develop content and messages about all aspects of Netsmart and EveryDay Matters, which could include links, videos, graphics and images that can be shared across multiple internal and external platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to incorporate social media into key organizational initiatives and events.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communications across business groups, participate in cross-functional groups throughout the organization to support their social media and communications objectives.
  • Establish consistency of messages across multiple online venues that are relevant to organizational goals; support and protect brand by ensuring positive messaging is maintained across all channels and platforms.
  • Create analytics reporting structure for executive leadership on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Work with teams across company, including marketing, to create quarterly social media content calendars and communication key messages that include themes and future topic ideas.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years professional work experience in social media
  • Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated experience working with brands in the social media universe including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Blogs, Facebook, etc.
  • Expert knowledge in social media analytics and ability to pull from each platform into a cohesive and concise report
  • Must have exceptional traditional writing and grammatical skills and an understanding of the variances in appropriate tone and messaging on different social media platforms
  • Highly hands-on and computer literate; working knowledge of technology involved to create podcasts, videos; functional knowledge of HTML; proficient knowledge of SEO
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly
