Job Description


Exciting opportunity to work with Post-Acute EMR technology leader focused on the Senior Living space. In this role you’ll have responsibility for further development of a Netsmart new business sales territory. You’ll be expected to:

  • Build strong rapport and relationships with potential new clients and partners in the assigned territory
  • Understand the shift towards value-based care, including evolving care and payment models to assist potential new clients in building business case for a supporting technology platform
  • Work across Netsmart’s business to ensure a collaborative team is informed on potential new client’s business model, and execute on the plan that would yield them a market differentiating technology platform


  • Generate new business by prospecting for new customers in person, via the telephone and email.
  • Understand client’s business needs and suggest appropriate solutions to match those needs
  • Employ consultative sales approach to garner comprehensive understanding of client business needs and business case
  • Manage and grow existing pipeline through regular direct contact with all perspective new logos via Named Account territory strategy
  • Work with technical and marketing support staff to qualify and complete RFPs
  • Handle multiple functions and priorities with high level of effectiveness
  • Manage accurate and concise forecast and territory planning strategy
  • Negotiate contract and payment terms to final deal signature


  • Must be able to demonstrate high level of achievement with at least 5-7+ years of new business consultative sales experience in Post-Acute healthcare with emphasis on Senior Living/Skilled Nursing.
  • Primary experience in new business/hunter role.
  • Over Quota achievement is the minimum requirement.

  • Travel as needed (up to 70% of the time)
  • PC Literacy and knowledge of standard office products and sales tools
  • Minimum of a 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional experience in Care at Home (Home Health/Hospice) is a major plus
  • IT or technology background in school or business
  • MBA
  • EMR/EHR background
