Job Description

Client Alignment Executive, Public Sector

This associate will grow, develop and manage public sector (including public health) clients; create new and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring revenue retention and growth, client health and overall satisfaction with the Netsmart partnership. Responsibilities include generating new business with current and prospective state clients by developing and executing against client specific roadmaps across the portfolio of offerings. Work with assigned clients to understand policy, needs and constraints to creating a stronger Netsmart value proposition throughout public and state health and human service agencies and departments.

Requirements:

  • Responsible for developing executive relationships and state strategies across agencies and departments
  • Develop an understanding of client needs, identify solutions and services applicable, and prioritization in consideration of budget constraints, political challenges, state/local organizational structure
  • Timely management and maintenance of Netsmart enterprise database of current clients and opportunities
  • Identify, qualify and complete RFPs
  • History of navigating and competing in formal government RFP process
  • Engage in proactive client initiatives to provide the proper level of service and support

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to demonstrate high level of achievement of at least 5 consecutive years of sales experience with technology related products or services in the medical services provider marketplace, with emphasis on behavioral health, public health, corrections, long term care and other health and human service areas.

  • Over Quota achievement (multi-million dollar quota) is the minimum requirement.
  • Proficient in one or more structured selling method (Solution Selling, Target Account Selling, Miller Heiman, SPIN)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with history of developing and leading cross functional teams internally
  • Self-Starter with experience in generating new sales opportunities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a history of navigating multiple levels of a prospect’s organization
  • Excellent contract and proposal development skills
  • Travel requirement: 50-80%
  • PC Literacy and competency in standard MS Office products and sales tools including CRM like SalesForce.Com
  • Candidate must live near major airport, no relocation offered.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 (or more) years of Public Sector experience in related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Professional Skills:

  • Strategy and Opportunity Development
  • Negotiate to Close
  • RFP/RFI, and financial proposal development
  • Value Proposition Development
  • Software Presentation

Preferred Skills:

  • Public Sector and/or Health and Human Services experience is highly preferred
  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience with state government appropriations, procurement, policy, proposal development; as well as government organization and operational processes
  • Worked with service organizations consulting for enterprise software deployments
  • Healthcare technology sales or implementation
  • Current health and human service public sector relationships
  • Experience leveraging service delivery for long-term state clients
  • Experience in developing and growing revenue relationships with states
  • Organizational transformation skills
  • Professional certifications are advantageous
